Your Ticket Pickup Guide for Universal Orlando Resort [2024]: Simple Steps
When staying at a Universal-owned or operated resort, you can obtain your tickets from the concierge kiosk in the resort lobby. The concierge desk, not the front desk, is responsible for printing your tickets to ensure a smooth entry to the park. However, if, for some reason, your tickets are not printed at this location, don’t panic. You can still obtain your tickets at the park entrance from the booths with team members. Remember to bring the ID of the person whose name is on the reservation. If the person whose name is on the order is not picking up the tickets, call ahead and inform Universal to avoid any complications during pickup.
Avoiding Ticket Pickup Complications By Reservation Type
Reservations made at Military Base or Shades of Green
Please note the following information if you purchased Universal tickets at a military base or similar establishment, such as the resort Shades of Green.
You must read the fine print in the paper you receive, as it contains important details.
It may seem common sense, but most military families do not read the paper (and tend to lose their tickets, but more later!). Here’s what you need to know before arriving at Universal, assuming you bought the tickets from a base or Shades of Green:
You will receive an email confirmation from Universal Orlando Resort labeled “Order Confirmation.” The paper you received from the base is not required to pick up your tickets unless you did not receive the “Order Confirmation” email directly from Universal.
Now, let’s talk about military tickets. If you purchase a ticket from a Military Base or any ticket, NOT a Military Freedom Pass, such as one-day or multiple-day tickets or an anytime ticket. That ticket will be in the “Order Confirmation” email attached as a PDF with a QR Code. It would be best if you walked in with a digital PDF. You do not need a physical copy at all.
If you purchased a Military Freedom pass, you will receive an email with the PDFs attached. A red banner will appear across the email stating that you must exchange them. Please keep the email or screenshot of the PDFs. There is no need to print the PDFs.
When you arrive at the entrance of either park, head to the booths before the entrance with the PDFs and your military ID to exchange them for physical tickets.
Once you receive your passes from a Team Member, download the Universal Orlando Resort App, create an account, and scan your tickets into the app. They will be available on the app if you lose your tickets or decide to come spontaneously.
Money Saving Tip
I highly advise and recommend that you not let the agent at the military base or any other agent sell you an “Anytime” ticket.
The reason is that this type of ticket is sold at a higher price since it is meant for people who do not know the date of their travels.
Instead, buy a “dated” ticket by choosing a specific travel date. If you change your mind and need to travel on a different date, go to the ticket booths and have the Team Member at Universal shift the date for you.
You will still pay the original dated price and save money compared to buying an Anytime ticket. This way, you will have extra money to buy a drink or snacks!
Reservations Made by a Travel Agent or Travel Agency
Finally, if you have booked your tickets through a travel agent or agency, you must meet a team member to collect them. Even if you received an email stating “pick up at will call kiosk,” you should visit the ticket booth in person and have the Team Member print out your tickets to save time and prevent inconvenience.
If you are a travel agent collecting event tickets, please carry your travel agent ID card (if you have one). If you don’t have one, bring your IATA or travel agent number when you visit the Team Member. k up at will call kiosk,” it is recommended to go directly to a booth and have a TM print out your tickets to avoid frustration and save time.
If you are a travel agent picking up tickets for events yourself, please bring your travel agent ID card (if you have one). If not, you must have your IATA or travel agent number when you visit the Team Member.
Reservation that says “Client Number.”
To pick up this particular reservation, it must be at the park with the Team Members right outside the entrance of Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure.
You can typically find this specific reservation type on Virgin Holidays.
Bringing an unaltered copy of the reservation is mandatory, which means do not write or scribble anything on it. The Team Member will collect the copy, so it is advisable to make multiple copies if you want to keep one for yourself.
